It is pleasure that i took over as Principal,GDC D.H,Pora Kulgam. The College is located in a picturesque valley of Bongam adjoining the great mountaineers range Dhakiar Himalayas. The College is situated at a distance of 100 kilo meters from summer capital of UT,Srinagar and 20 kilo meters from district headquarter Kulgam.The college was made functional in the year 2011 with arts and commerce subjects.The college is on a sprawling 109 Kanals of fertile land with three buildings having Lectures Halls,Smart Classrooms,Gym,Library,Canteen along with Principal,s Office for catering to the needs of 880 students,eighteen teaching staff along with ministerial and class 4th employees. The result for the past ten years of its existence shows a considerable increase in pass percentage of this area both for male and female students.

Futuristic Plan:
1. To start Science subject in the college.
2. To create infra-structure for desirous students of this area intending to sit in the competitive examinations.
3. More Skill Courses to be introduced.
4. Wifi facility to be provided to the teachers for better quality education.
5. Ensuring participation of students in extra and co-curricular activities.
